Pat, my bookkeeper was here for the day, always a very depressing day as I realise that I owe more than I am owed. Pat sets up all my bills to be paid 30 days from date of invoice and enters the data into the computer. She also does my payroll. I used to do it all but as the business has grown it just became another thing that I couldn't keep on top off. One of the best pieces of advise I received when I set up the business was, pay your bills on time and make sure your clients pay theirs on time too.
This afternoon I took Sholto to his weekly football training before he helped me harrow the gallop, check all the legs and feed. The lads had the mist blower out this evening and disinfected all the stables, walker and horsebox.
I always enjoy reading about the Godolphin Stud and Stable awards and was delighted to see that Jerry Walsh from Paul Webbers won the special merit award. Jerry always has a smile on his face and works endlessly travelling horses around the country for his boss. It's great that these people get regonition for all their hard work as no one could operate without them.
