Another frantic day without enough hours in it. Once we got the horses all done, I headed off to Whitwick to walk the course. There isn't much of a coving of grass but the ground is safe and I'm happy to run there. There is some rain forecast in the area but I don't know if it will arrive in time for tomorrow. No doubt it will start to rain at midday and stop when we all head for home.

There's a number of jobs to be done when we are racing over the weekend. All the tack has to be organised, bridles made up with the correct bits and nosebands, girths, pads and banadges have to be arranged. Horses need their manes and tails touching up and bridle paths clipped. Athough i dont tell them often enough i am lucky to have a great team of lads that help me to do all of this.

I'll be saying my prayers before bed tonight that we have a successful weekend and none of the horses get injured. Avidius Cassius, Trouble Digger and Chiquilline will run at Whitwick. Harris , Commodus and Silver Breese will head to Chaddesley.
