23rd February 2012

A steady enough day, both horses that worked yesterday just walked, all the others had a canter or 2. Sam was in so we only had 5 or 6 lots each. Juliet White, the owner of the Generous filly dropped in this afternoon to see her. She's a really sweet filly and a joy to deal with. We managed to give the 3 new arrivals trace clips, they will feel much better for getting all that hair off them and won't have to spend the day drying after exercise. Antony Tory was here yesterday and rasped their teeth and removed any wolf teeth, they've all had a right M.O.T and we are now set to get on with them.

Beckhani, a horse that last ran at Towcester on Boxing Day was just getting going again and I had planned to start getting stuck in to him again this week But he's suffering from a bruised foot, he must have trodden on a stone over the weekend. I had the shoe off and polticed it for 48 hours, the farrier was here today, he put the shoe on and he was even worse. I'll see how he is in the morning and may take the shoe off again and tub the foot. He trached washed dirty after Boxing Day and I had hoped to run him mid March but having now lost the guts of the week he's more likely to run towards the end of March.

Tilly returned home from ballet with her distinction certificate and was so proud of it she's insistent that she takes it in to school tomorrow to show it off to here friends.
