All the other horses did routine canters, Sam manged to stay on Chiquilline and there was no excitements.
Tim Rootes of Shutford Stud was her to see his two yearling fillies at 11 o'clock. One is by Byron and the other Tefilio. We all think the Tefilio filly could be special, her name is Lunette. Trainers aren't yet decided and Mr Rootes is in no hurry to send them anywhere yet. We've agreed to take stock at the end of May.
I spent the afternoon trying to get invoices out, I keep very accurate records but the vet bills have to be incorporated and various other bits and peices have to be accounted for, it all takes time and is painful.
Anthony Webber (our back man) was here at evening stables, Trouble Digger was rechecked and is in good shape. Harris, Cavite Alpha, Beckhani and Chiquilline all had minor adjustments done to them. Many people I have come across think back men are charlatons, I agree that there maybe a few out there but Anthony is top class and as I ride most of the horses I am able to notice the difference once he has treated them, in my mind it is money well spent.
