A disappointing day as Cavite Alpha didn't really run much of a race. It is all very well them working over a shorter trip at home and doing it well but racing is so different and it is only on the racecourse that you find out if you have a horse worth keeping or not. Cavite Alpha will now head to the next Ascot Sales and would make a smashing pointer for someone. Timmy Murphy said his wind didn't stop him, he jumped beautifully and needs further.
Charlie wants to produce horses for sale and persevering with average ones doesn't appeal to him or me and makes no commercial sense.
Tomorrow I am taking a few horses to gallop in Lambourn, Sam is going to Ian Williams as he has a ride for him in the NH chase next week at the festival.
Silver seems to have come out of yesterday's excertions well and i'll look for a race for him in a couple or three weeks time.
