23rd March 2012

Routine canters for all the horses and the babies worked in the school. Verity Bourne was here to see her two fillies, Valley Queen and Bobolini. Bobolini has had some surgery in her knee and I think she is struggling with it. Verity is going to organise for her vet to speak to me and we will take it forward from there. Valley Queen is doing everything nicely and I hope she gives Verity some fun in the summer months. Based on today's weather summer is here, how ridiculous to have temperatures around 17 degrees in March. I think it gets worse ever year as far as training National Hunt horses goes. Last Easter we all headed off to Cornwall for a few days, I was in my shorts and the horses were being tuned out striped. Climate change!!!!

This evening was spent at parents evening and I am pleased that both Tilly and Sholto are doing well at school.

James tells me he may have a ride at Siddington this weekend and if that is the case he'll be representing Cottage Field Stables as we have no runners at all this weekend.
