All the horses have come out of yesterday in great shape. The runners just went for a walk and a pick of grass. I am still in disbelief that The Bicester Hunt didn't organise a DVD operator to film the races yesterday. Looking at the results from around the country it was certainly the best attended meeting and I can think of no better track to film a p2p on. If they operated from the centre of the course they'd never be too far away from the action.
Robert Chugg rang at lunchtime to say he was passing by, we met in The kings Head in Bledington for a beef sandwich and a glass of orange! Robert has always been a great help to me and he's always got an amusing story or 2 to tell. He also has many words of wisdom. I have certainly learnt many things from him and I'd have no hesitation in ringing him if I needed some advise.
Sophie has been on a speed awareness course today. Most mornings I see a green flash passing the horses on the road parallel to our gallop as she heads out on the school run. I hope she listened to what she was being told (doubtful I'd say) and that I can expect a much lighter fuel bill from the garage each month. My lorry has a speed restrictor fitted and I am wondering if it is possible to fit one on Sophie cars?
