10th March 2012

Harris won the 2mile 4furlong maiden at Larkhill this afternoon, Sam Drinkwater rode him and gave him a great ride. He jumped beautifully and won impressively. He's a horse we've always thought to have plenty of ability, he was too weak to run last year and we've has to be patient this year too. I am now convinced that fast ground is the key to any horse by Beneficial. It was no walk over and there were a few horses in the race with good enough form.

Beckhani and Chiquilline worked on the grass this morning and I was pleased with them both.

Tomorrow i'll be riding out the 4 year old by Midnight Legend and Beckhani. I try not to ride anything on a Sunday if possible but sometimes it is unavoidable and any runners the following week have to be ridden.

Sholto and I will then head off for rugby training. Tilly has a dress rehearsal for her ballet and I'll be entertaining Panda and Shoti - hope they like rugby! I am sure that England play France in the 6nations at some point during the afternoon.
