We had a great run up to Doncaster yesterday, the horses travelled beautifully. Once they had settled in we took them down for vetting around 5 P.M. Both horses passed and will hopefully be busy today. I've never see so many people looking at Store horses on the Tuesday of this sale. It could signify another change about to happen. 1 thing is apparent, there is going to be a shortage of horses. The knock on effect of those who did not cover their mares in harder times is now looking like it is about to surface. I managed to see a few stores and have marked some for my vet to look at this morning.
The weather feels like deja vu - has our summer been and gone. 2 days! Trouble Digger better come back for a summer of heavy ground!
