8th January 2013

On Sunday Sam schooled Dark Tartan, Frankenstorm and Knight of Noir. I schooled Network Rouge, Vazaro Delafayette and Virtuoso Rouge, all the horses jumped well. Thanks to Alice, Sam's brother and girlfriend we were able to get all 6 horses over to the schooling ground in one go - the joys of many hands. As Sam's brother had all the 10-1 of Knockdhu at Barbury he owed us a favour!!

Yesterday all the horses had routine canters. I felt dreadful from the moment I got out of bed, when I sat down at lunchtime I found myself cast and only got up for evening stables, once that was completed I came home for a bath and got straight into bed. Sophie has been told about Castor Oil liver packs, I highly recommend them and there is plenty of information on the Internet about them. I have felt perfectly well again today. Today, most of the horses had routine canters, their workload is increasing but the speed of the canters aren't. Billy Biscuit and Full Shift worked on the grass. Both horses will be entered for Larkhill on 26th January and Whitfield the following weekend. Full Shift is almost certain to go to Larkhill as I think the track will suit him and he needs the best ground possible. It is raining again! Whitfield is a local track to Billy Biscuit's owner and we will see what the weather brings before deciding where we go with him.

Trouble Digger is bouncing again and took a fair tug with Mollie today, not helped by me on Max Ward tucked in behind him, Trouble Digger loved it and knew exactly what I was doing.
