Sam was in and he schooled Dark Tartan, Frankestorm, Medieval Gateway, Billy Biscuit and Virtuoso Rouge. I schooled Full Shift, Network Rouge, Glens Boy, Vazaro Delafayette and Silver Breese aged 13 who led Medieval Gateway. Sam also jumped Max Ward over some poles in the school, he is now ready to progress to the schooling ground. All horses jumped very well, for many of them it was the first time over regulation fences and they coped more than satisfactorily with it. A few will go back over there on Sunday morning when Sam can get back in. We will really be stepping up the schooling sessions from here on in.
Jane Poulter was due here at 11.30 this morning to see her Nayef Filly but rang to say she had been in a car crash and wouldn't make it. Thankfully, she is fine and will rearrange her visit.
It was late finish this morning, once the schooling was complete we had to get on and ride all the babies. This afternoon I rattled off a few invoices before Ellie and I went to tread in the schooling ground. We had someone half heartily helping throughout the morning which made life a bit easier but it was still a big task after jumping so many horses. I then had to ride Glens Boy for the 2nd time in the day before checking legs and doing various other things that have to be done before evening stables, it feels as if it has been a long but very satisfying DRY day.
