29th January 2013

Full Shift, Billy Biscuit, Major Martin and Frankenstorm went for an away gallop. We have always thought Billy Biscuit would want good ground and he confirmed that today. Full Shift also wants good ground. If the going at Milbourne is any worse than good to soft Billy Biscuit will have to wait. There is no point in running him on anything else, thankfully, his race is the first so at least he'll get the best of it. Tim Mitchell assures me that the ground will be no worse than good to soft and could easily be good. The end of the week is forecast to be dry and with the high winds on chalk land it is very possible.

I have a 1.5 mile 4 year old only bumper in mine for Major Martin at Newbury on 2nd March, we will just have to wait and see where we are with him nearer the time. Frankenstorm is aiming for the 2.5 mile maiden at Barbury Castle 17th February.

Patrick Milo and his wife were here to see his 2 year old by Notnowcato, he was pleased with him, he will head to Ed Dunlop in Newmarket at the beginning of March.
