Connaught Square didn't disgrace himself, he ran too free but kept at it and there is no doubt he will win his races.
This morning a few of the youngsters stepped up their work load. Knockdhu and a 3 year old by Ballingary did a nice bit on our woodchip. Knockdhu will be aimed at Barbury Castle early December, we have been deciding whether or not to start in bumpers, he is well ahead of the game fitness wise and I will now back off him for a few weeks. He did plenty of schooling last year so he has that in the bank too. I had planned to take him to Towcester today but felt the ground was too fast. The timing of it suits, if he can get his head in front at Barbury we can offer him at the sales, if he doesn't make his reserve we will then go straight to bumpers.
A High Chaparral colt will be arriving from the Newmarket sales tomorrow and I see the million pound barrier was passed yesterday. It is mind blowing that this type of money is paid for horses.
