An early start as I had to be in Ledbury at 11 AM, the lads were in early and we pulled first lot out at 6 AM. I managed to ride 4 lots before I left. Billy Biscuit and Full Shift had a little blow on the woodchip. Tomorrow Billy with have a light canter and Full Shift will jump 3 fences. The weather in Dorset has been favourably to us but I am concerned about the rain that is forecast to fall on Sunday morning down there. Hopefully, it will miss Milborne St Andrew and we'll have some decent ground.
Trouble Digger winning at Chaddesley, sporting the colours that were carried to victory by his owner breeder in the Liverpool Foxhunters has featured in this weeks Horse and Hound.
Tomorrow I will be riding out before taking Sholto to watch Gloucester play Bath at Kingsholm. Stow RFC have organised the trip, it is fabulous what they have laid on. The kids are all having a training session on the pitch with the Gloucester coaching staff, a tour of the stadium and then get to watch the match. Sholto is so excited it is lovely. He has been up with me at 5 AM the last 2 mornings asking what time we are leaving on Saturday. I've told him he's under strict instructions and not to get out of bed before 7 tomorrow.
