6th December 2012

Knockdhu had a blow on the all weather accompanied by Trouble Digger, he will school tomorrow as the ground over at the fences was frozen this morning. If the weather forecast is correct we will have no problem by late morning tomorrow. The ground where I have the baby fences was fresh and the frost had not got into it at all. Therefore, Sam and I schooled Ballingary, Robin Des Champs, Frankenstorm, Network Rouge, Knight of Noir and Kayf Tara filly. All the babies were ridden in the school and others had routine canters.

If the weather forecast doesn't change between now and the weekend I would hold every hope that Barbury Castle will be on. I will walk the course on Saturday afternoon.

Darrel Jacob must be really disappointed after mistaking the winning line at Wincanton today and I feel he has been punished too severely. It was a genuine mistake and a couple of days off would have been sufficient. It appears that the punishment doesn't fit the crime and the enforced holiday is only to appease the punters. I know how he must feel, I went the wrong side of a marker one day and still won only to be disqualified, I could have fitted into a match box that day.

Anthony Webber was here this evening to follow up those he wasn't entirely happy with last time and he sorted a few others too.

I went to Panda's Christmas play this afternoon which was very good, I even had a tear in my eye at one stage, she looked so sweet and did really well. I remember Tilly's first play and that too was a tear jerking moment. Tomorrow Sholto is singing so I'll be there to listen to that too.
