All the Derby horses were rollered and lunged, the Winged Love and Robin des Champs may take a little longer than the others as they both appear to be pretty sharp!
The horses we bought at Doncaster in May all went off around the farm for the first time this morning and they all behaved beautifully. A 3 year old by Ballingary came back in, I broke him and rode him a round for a few moths last summer and he has really benefited from it. He has strengthen up and is a really nice animal. He be aimed at 3 year old bumpers before Christmas, if he isn't ready for that I think he may start in a point to point in the New Year. Like all these things we'll monitor progress as time passes.
I have received various texts telling me I am now a center fold in the Irish Field newspaper. With digital papers now on line I was unable to resist and bought a copy. There is a picture of me in it but I wouldn't go as far to say I was the center fold. Tom Malone ruins any chance of that!
It has poured with rain all day and by lunchtime we decided to bring all the horses in from the paddocks.
Tomorrow Sam is coming in to ride a few out which is a huge help as I am off to a funeral in the afternoon.
