As we all know the Olympics are now officially open. I personally thought the whole opening ceremony was chaotic, I have heard it described as organised chaos and eccentric. I am sure many others have their own feeling on it. All said and done no matter what my views or others are on it, it is was an amazing achievement to organise 10,000 volunteers to put on such a display. Let's hope we get a good tally of gold medals.
I am afraid nothing too exciting is happening with the horses, they are either in pre-training building their fitness before moving onto more strenuous work, hacking up the gallop or learning the ropes in the school. Cestus and Connaught Square are still a good 6 weeks off a racecourse at the earliest.
