Tiqris and Proximo went for an away gallop, both horses worked nicely and will be trach washed on Thurday, after that we'll see where we are before making any final running plans. There seems to be plenty of rain about but we are missing it at present. It is for some reason often the way. I think we miss it more often than we get it. If the forecast is right we are in for a good, welcome soaking tomorrow.

The children have kindly been lent a couple of ponies for the holiday, I haven't had any involvement in arranging this, Sophie and Sholto's godfather have sorted it. I bought Tilly a pony before she could walk and used to lead her around the place in a basket saddle. I then realised that she was in fact too young to start training for pony racing and sold it. I then bought another one who spent more time in the field getting fat than being ridden so I sold that one too. Tilly and Sholto have had a series of lessons now and are able to rise to the trot and really enjoy ponies.
