10th April 2012

Tiqris and Trouble Digger worked well this morning. 71 entries in the bumper at Chepstow, Tiqris isn't in the ballot so he's assured a run. However, I don't want soft ground. He's a good horse and in my book good horses want good ground. I have also entered him at Exeter next Tuesday so with that and Ffos Las on Sunday we have a few options. Harris has come out of race well and we will run him again when the ground is faster before hopefully sending him to the Doncaster May sale.

Custers Last Stand pulled up again yesterday and he has now an entry for Ascot sales on the 23rd April. Ollie, a mate of James took him to Paxford yesterday. This was especially kind of Ollie and James owes him a few pints! Hopefully we'll find a way to get a better horse or 2 for James to ride next year. James has gained valuable experience this year. He rides very well over a fence but needs more experience and to strengthen up his finishing technique. Once he passes his driving test I hope that he is able to get a round a bit more next year and get a few outside rides.

Tomorrow a Clodovil filly arrives that is proving to be difficult, a fun few days maybe in store!!!!!
