8th November 2013

Major Martin and Intergrahmer have come out of yesterday in good shape. Major Martin has entries at Wetherby and Uttoxeter next Saturday, we will take stock on Friday before making any decisions. Being at Towcester yesterday witnessing McCoy's achievement was special and something I will remember forever. Illicit Illusion and a unnamed 4 year old went for an away gallop, both horses worked well and both will have entries at Barbury Castle.

Poor Alice suffered a terrible loss today - Knockdhu, who we gave to her after he slipped his tendon off his hock when winning at Barbury last year had an accident early this morning and had to be put to sleep. Alice rode him in all his work whilst he was here and loved him dearly, she is naturally gutted as we are for her. He was reportedly in great shape and I know Alice had contemplated taking him to Black Forest Lodge.

This afternoon I had to got o the new farm to meet the guy who will draw the landscaping plan for the planners approval. Tomorrow everything will canter on the grass, in the evening I head out to Ireland for the NH yearlings and foal sale.
