Connaught Square was found out by the rain, on arrival at Uttoxeter it was officially Good Good to Firm. By 3p.m is was changed to Good and by 5.25 it was officially Soft! not what we wanted, we think we have a top of the ground horse. Timmy said his body wanted to go faster than his legs could carry him as they were stuck in the ground. We will look for something for him in 3 weeks and hope that we find some fast ground. At least the courses will stop watering once the summer racing season is closed. They watered at Uttoxeter at 10 a.m this morning. Why, I have no idea, anyone making entries there was looking for fast ground. I now have some empathy with trainers that are always moaning about clerks of courses. The rain was out of their control but forecasts are very accurate now and I think they made the wrong decision in watering, many disgruntled trainers.........
