27th December 2013

The Drinkymeister finished second, for whatever reasons he got far too far out of his ground on horrendous ground and finished like a train, another 100 yards and he'd have won. That's racing and we all have to accept the good and bad days. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. It was a miserable day at Chaddesley, even so I was surprised how small the crowd was. The weather certainly played its part and I am sure many just choose to stay at home to watch Sprinter Sacre.

We collected Hopstrings on the way home, she looks amazing and has done really well on her holiday.

This morning we worked Chiquilline and Illicit Illusion. Illicit Illusion did his first bit since his run at Barbury. He will be aimed at Whitfield on 26th January. The others stayed on the woodchip and will be heading to the grass tomorrow.
