What a filthy day, it rained heavily for most of it and I think it is a similar forecast for tomorrow. The ground at Fontwell and Worcester will certainly be trying and I will be taking stock before making any decisions on Major Martins participation at Worcester. Our lunge pen is struggling to cope with the rain fall and it is pretty nasty for the yearlings. If we only worked when the weather was kind we'd never get anything done, it is just a case of getting on with it.
Vazaro Delafayette certainly lived up to expectations and ran a fantastic race finishing 3rd at Cheltenham on Saturday. I think it is fair to say he'd have been a very good 2nd had he not been knocked turning in and then bumped all but sideways up the run in. All things considered, I think he has a very bright future.
