12th October 2013

A busy and very wet morning riding out before heading off for an away gallop with a couple. Sam set off in the lorry 10 minuets before me as I had to go and do something afterwards, I arrived at the gallops 40 minuets before Sam who went via god knows where. Sam has only been to the gallop 10 - 12 times before with me so it is understandable that he doesn't yet know the way! He's always been a very slow learner. Both horses worked well and we will keep going forward with the intention of running the filly at Towcester in a few weeks time.

The schooling fences have all been re-built, I didn't get over to see them this afternoon as Sholto, Ben Brain, Simon Sweeting and I went to Gloucester to watch a great match. Gloucester won  27 -22 against Perpignan, the sledging from the fans is quite amusing. I wouldn't want to be referee or a linesman in Gloucester Rugby Club. The scrum halve was told "put the ball in straight Stumpy" on more than one occasion. We are now planning our next trip.
