A pretty routine day. Breakfast was spent taking Tilly to a pony day near Great Rollright. Ollie, her pony behaved well until he decided that he was peckish. When bending down to fill his mouth with grass Tilly was deposited on the floor. I must teach her to slip her reins, I remember the same thing happening to me at Kingston Blount, the only difference being my horse pecked on landing and pulled me straight off over its ears. I was very quick in learning the importance of slipping reins.
We rode all the new 3 year olds around the lunge pen this morning and no one was unseated, they all behaved beautifully.
Sholto has gone to the Chadlington Beer Festival with his cousin and they are yet to return home. It is very concerning as he is only 6 years old and his cousin is 4 or 5 !!
