A routine day with sunshine! Royal Ascot was not a disappointment and Frankel was awesome! The presenters tell us that he is the best racehorse ever to be seen. I am certainly not in a position to argue and think it is a privilege to be around to see him. He absolutely trounced the opposition and as Willie Carson mentioned to bring the 2nd horse level he would have to carry 22lbs more. That it itself is mind blowing. Henry Cecil is certainly someone who I have huge respect for and admire him for what he has achieved throughout his life. To fall upon hard times and see numbers of horses in his yard drop from 150 to 35 almost overnight and then to build it back to where it is today is a admirable to say the least.

I am just settling down to watch England beat Ukraine before making the quarter finals. I have surprised myself and really enjoyed the tournament. Let's hope England can progress further and lift the country a bit.
