Major Martin and Max Ward have come out of their gallops in good shape, the rain has been failing all afternoon, it remains fairly wet through the weekend, I don't want too much more of it for Max Ward as I think he will put his best foot forward on good ground.
Our afternoon/evening was spoilt by the sodding rain, 15 overs were bowled before the rain arrived at that was that. England I am sure wanted it to continue as they lost 3 wickets pretty quickly and Jonathon Trott was doing his bit to impersonate Boycott! The bowling looked pretty quick form where we were sat.
Tomorrow we will ride a few lots before emptying all the stables of shavings before disinfecting the floors and lower walls which are untouchable when bedding is in the stable. We will the re-fill them with new, a costly exercise but one that needs to be carried out.
